I would like to take a moment to thank you all for a 2014 filled with happiness, asanas, and smiles . It was year full of "new" - new studio, new faces, newborns and new asanas. I hope we continue to develop positively, continue to explore yoga and it's many benefits, that the year 2015 is full of blessings. I am so grateful to do what I do and have you come all the courses every week (or so) with an open mind and heart . Thank you !!!! 


 A reminder that the studio is closed during the holidays. Classes begin again January 6!


 Also, there are still spots available for the summer "Hatha Yoga and Hiking" retreat in southern Aveyron, July 5-11 . I forgot to say that the retreat is open to all , not just those who come to the classes already. Invite a friend or family to enjoy a week of yoga, hiking, meditation, swimming, 
good food and good people :)

 Yoga helps to free our energy blockages and optimizes the flow of prana (vital energy) throughout the body. When the life energy flows freely throughout the body, it is easier to achieve health and happiness. There are asanas (postures ) that are especially good for unblocking and stimulating the energy in the body such as the back bends. They stimulate the nervous system, open the chest, relax the spine, and increase breathing capacity. Our "heart space" where the Anahata chakra resides is stimulated and enables us to more easily find emotional balance. 
 The practice will be gentle but very effective so we can approach the postures and modifications calmly.
